• God’s purpose is that we have eternal life.
• As we search for meaning in life, we discover that our sinful nature keeps us from fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives.
• We are all sinners by nature and by choice. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

We cannot save ourselves. “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9. We deserve death and hell. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). But God justifies guilty condemned sinners by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
